Chinese Doucai Barbed Dish

Mid Qing, with shallow rounded sides divided into twelve bracket foliation, rising from a short circular tapered foot to a barbed everted rim, the interior painted with a medallion enclosing a dragon writhing sinuously among ruyi clouds, the everted rim painted in colbalt blue with crashing waves, the exterior painted with waves and clouds, the base with six-character Qianlong seal mark. Diameter 5 3/4 in.
