Chinese Flambe Garlic Head Vase, 18th Century
A Chinese garlic headed flambe vase dating from the 18th century.
Dimensions are: 8 3/4 inches tall X 4 1/2 inches wide, 22.2 cm tall X 11.4 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Hairline cracks to the base of the foot.
Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok' s daughter and grandson. Lot 229-285 from our auction on Sept 6th, 2019 were from the same estate.
