Chinese Gilt Blue Glazed Lidded Bowl, 18th Century

A Chinese gilt blue-glazed bowl dating from the 18th century with an ormolu mount. The lidded bowl comes with a gilt bronze tripod stand resembling ram's legs. The lid is decorated with scenes of flowers, while the body of the bowl features two landscape scenes on the exterior. The interior and bottom are glazed white. The bowl has a gilt bronze rim as well as a pair of gilt bronze handles resembling rams' heads.

Dimensions are: the bowl measures 4 1/2 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 11.4 cm X 20.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The handles have been replaced, and there are overpainted areas of damage beneath the current handles. The lid has a chip as well as an area of repair and overpainting. Gilt wear throughout. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
