Chinese Horizontal Calligraphy by Li Keran
A Chinese horizontal 6-character calligraphy in ink on paper by Li Keran. The calligraphy has 3 seals and is mounted on a silk backing.
Dimensions are: 6 1/4 in. tall X 25 in. wide, 15.9 cm tall X 63.5 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition.
Provenance: From the estate of Professor Lee-Ming Ng. Professor Ng was a professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the former dean of the Faculty of Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 1986, the Contemporary Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition was held in Hong Kong, and Professor Ng was the chairman of the preparatory committee. Mr. Li Keran was invited to write the inscription of this exhibition as the cover of the published album. Mr. Li Keran wrote only 4 copies and gifted one to Professor Ng to use as the cover of the album.
