Small bowl decorated with little boys flying kites and leaping about among flowers, fences and trees. Interior with a single boy with kite and foliage. Lovely blue glaze 'heaped and piled' in areas on blue-white ground. Everted rim. Slightly inward slanting foot. Unglazed footrim Old dark hairline. Shape slightly distorted from round. Collected in Indonesia in the 1970s. Approx. 2 1/4" H, 5 1/2" D.
