Description: Chinese Ming dynasty Wanli period blue and white Kraak export porcelain klapmuts (soup) bowl with a slightly upturned rim and barbed edge decorated with a central duck among aquatic plants in a pond. Two taotie masks are on the rim. Four alternating ogival panels decorate the interior well. Early 17th century.
Measurements: 6 1/4" diameter x 1 7/8 high
Condition: Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Provenance: From the collection of a former American expatriate to China from 1983-1987.
