Chinese Porcelain and Gold Stone Snuff Bottle, Qianlong Marks, ca. Late Qing Dynasty
Cylindrical form porcelain snuff bottle with rounded shoulders and flared rim, round cabochon cut gold stone stopper with spoon, hand painted in underglaze iron red, depicting a four-clawed dragon chasing Peal of Wisdom among clouds. Marked with over glazed iron red four-character Qianlong mark on the bottom. Provenance: old private collection, Amity, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
Condition: Very good antique condition, original firing flaw to bottom, unglazed foot rim, stopper with mulberry paper of later addition.
