Chinese Qing Dynasty Lavender Jade Basin

Important Antique, 19th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty Chia Ching Hand Carved Lavender Jade Basin. Fei-Tsui Jade Basin, Chia Ching Qing Dynasty period. Beautiful lavender shade, with apple green. Depicting two carving dragons. With original appraisal dated 1950, numbered 3 on the appraisal. Appraisal explains this lavender jade piece has been exhibited at the Canadian International Trade Fair, Toronto, 1948 and appraised for $3,000 in 1950. With paperwork of the explanation of jade from The Pageant of Peking, Second Floor, Marshall Field & Company. A letter that came with the appraisal explains this jade piece was part of the collection of Mr. Chain Kiku of Mukden, China. Mr. Kiku was a manager of a bank and escaped as the Japanese were coming in. With fitted stand (stand is not original to the basin). Total measurements of jade - 2 1/2" high x 9" long x 5 3/4" deep. Measurements with base - 3 1/2" high.
