A Chinese Qing officer's hat awarded for the scholar's exam, peacock rank. The hat is white silk with red fringe and a Peking glass finial with a lapis lazuli toggle and peacock feather plume.
Dimensions are: 8 inches tall X 12 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Minor age wear.
Provenance: From Mrs. Savage in Houston, TX, acquired in China in the early 1980s.
