A round cinnabar carved panel decorated with a central motif of peaches, surrounded by the eight symbols of the immortals; Shan - The fan of Chung-li Chi'an, Chien - The sword of Lu Tung-pem, Hu Lu - The gourd of LiT'ieh-kuai, Pan - The castanets of Ts'ao Kuo-chin, Hua Lan - The basket of flowers of Lan Ts'ai-ho, Yu Ku - The bamboo tube and rods of Chang Kuo Lao, Tu - The flute of Han Hsiang-T'zu, Lien Hua - The lotus flower of Ho Hsien Ku. A label is affixedto the verso with a description of the plaque and its meaning. Approx: h. 13", w. 13".
