Chinese Red Ground Embroidery, Late 19th Century

A Chinese red-ground embroidery of a fairy, possibly Magu (Goddess of Longevity) holding a vase dating from the late 19th century. She is accompanied by a monkey holding peaches and a deer holding lingzhi.

Dimensions are: the area of the embroidery measures 50 1/2 inches tall X 33 inches wide, 128.3 cm X 83.8 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: There is significant wear to the threads including loose threads and loss. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
