Chinese Tang & Song Dynasty Miniature Ceramic Vessels

East Asia, China, Tang Dynasty, ca. 618 to 907 CE (the taller vessel). A sancai-glazed teapot-like pottery vessel, with a bulbous body, ring foot, and small mouth, spout, and handle. The body has a round applique on it. The glaze is a pretty, coppery color. ALSO East Asia, China, Song Dynasty, ca. 960 to 1270 CE (the smaller vessel). A lustrously-glazed miniature vessel with a rounded body, corseted neck, and slightly flared rim. Thick, dark chocolate-colored glaze with flashes of white on the shoulder give this piece a beautiful appearance. Size of largest (teapot): 2.9" W x 2.95" H (7.4 cm x 7.5 cm)

Condition Report: The Tang vessel is missing part of the applique on the lower body and has small chips from the rim and losses to the glaze. Overall the form is very well preserved. The Song vessel is intact and in excellent condition.
