A rectangular woven silk panel with vertical columns of Chinese characters and two nimbate figures seated in clouds, temple(?) in the background; floral motifs in the silk and some areas of colouration; mounted on canvas. 1.7 kg, 94 x 53cm (37 x 21"). Acquired for the ‘Buckingham Collection’ by the late Nik Douglas (1944-2012), renowned author, curator and Asian art expert; the collection formed from the early 1960s to early 1970s. [No Reserve]
