Chinese Yellow Jade Melon Carving, 19th Century

A Chinese yellow jade carving of a melon dating from the 19th century. The carving features leaves, flowers, and vines.

Dimensions: 1 3/4 inches tall X 3/4 inches wide; 4.4 cm tall X 1.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: A number of small flea bite chips.

Provenance: From Mrs. Hillebrand in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents purchased these items in China and Hong Kong prior to the 1960s.
