Chukwuogo-Roy gained international fame for her official 2002 Golden Jubilee portrait of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II commissioned by the Commonwealth Secretariat.
The artist was a friend of the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and this connection prompted Martin Keown to commission this work. Keown was an England and Arsenal player who played for the club from 1993-2004, Kanu was a fellow Arsenal player (1999-2004) at this time.
