Chippendale mahogany serpentine tilt top tea table, Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1780. Richly grained one-piece top with molded edge. Heavy block and post with ring and vase turned shaft on cabriole legs with rat claw feet. Purchased from John Spencer Antiques, July 2, 2002, receipt accompanies lot. 28.5” height, top 33 x 33” Good condition, rich old surface, minor abrasions, old or original iron spider.
