Chondrite Meteorite Northwest Africa An immense and visually dramatic meteorite on all counts, this enormous Chondrite is unclassified but an impressive specimen nonetheless. Weighing over 37 kilograms (82 pounds), this offering is simply a gigantic piece with a wonderful shape, phenomenal fusion crust, extensive shallow cratering, a myriad of colorful hues, and museum size. A magnificent extraterrestrial offering, presented on a custom black metal armature, the centerpiece meteorite checks all the boxes. Numerous large surfaces display both varied textures and mottled appearances. The enormous representation from Northwest Africa has a flat bottom that 'loads' into the base and multiple exposed patches that reveal a lighter and grainy internal composition. Worthy of display in any institutional collection, any example of this size and quality really should be in a museum. This is no typical chondritic specimen, and this piece is highly visually aesthetic. Measurements: 13.58 x 8.46 x 7.48 inches (34.50 x 21.50 x 19.00 cm), weighs 37.19 kilograms (82 pounds) Provenance: Ex.
