of plain form, straight spout, with wicker-covered over-head swing handle, the pull-off lid with loop handle, height 15cm to top of handle, length 17cm to end of spout.

This design by Christopher Dresser was made by Hukin & Heath of Birmingham for the London retailers Leuchars & Son. The design was registered with the Patent Office (Rd. No.18367), which dates it to late 1884. As it was part of a picnic set the wicker handle is positioned above the pot, rather than at the side, and folds down for ease of packing.
