Cigarette case in English Sterling silver 925. This cigarette case is in solid Sterling silver 925, and was made in Birmingham (UK) , in the 1970s. The surface shows a subtle and neat design. Dimensions: length 137 mm, width 82 mm, depth 11 mm. Weight: 226 grams. Very little used, with slight signs of ageing on surface, which give a nice lived-in look to the whole. The hallmarks, which have been magnified in the pictures, show the item’s English origin and the quality of its silver. The Sterling silver alloy (which contains 92. 5% by weight of silver) has an English origin, and is used for silverware and jewellery for its fineness, value and brightness; it’s also less prone to oxidize.
