Cigarette case «Витязь» (Knight) with an inscription by students of Kacha Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots. Silver .84 fine, manufactured in Moscow, Russia, 1908 - beginning of the 1920-s.
Silver .84 fine, castling, metalsmithing, engraving, gilding, mounting.

The inscription on the cover of the cigarette case: «Уважаемому инспектору А.И. Яковлевскому от благодарных учеников 1923 / 24 Кача» (To a venerated inspector A.I. Yakovlevsky from grateful students 1923 / 24 Kacha). The inner side has engravings: «Главное внимательнее! внимательнее!!!» (Above all, attention! More attention!!!) and «Ну как? Шпильнешь?» (How are things? Ready to perform?) — the latter indiscriminately.

The settlement of Kacha is located in the south of Crimea under the jurisdiction of the Nahimov District of Sevastopol. The first school of military pilots in Tsarist Russia, founded in 1910 in Sevastopol, was relocated there in 1912. The settlement, which foundation date is the establishment of the college, grew around it. Later the school became famous as Kacha Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots. After the Red Army took over, the school continued training of military pilots as the 1-st Aviation School of the Red Army, coalescing with the 1-st Moscow School of Military Pilots of the Red Aviation Fleet (former Gatchina aviation school, relocated during the Civil war to Zaraysk in Moscow Oblast) in 1922. Therefore, the two oldest aviation schools in Russia merged into one. The college was one of the leading suppliers of military pilots for the aviation fleet of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Air Forces, and the Russian Federation from 1910 to 1998.
