Condition Report:
The copper plate is flat and stable, the paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear and even. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals numerous, sensitively-executed retouchings through the Magdalene's face and hands. Larger, more concentrated areas of restoration are found in the upper and lower left corners, in her pink wrap around the ointment jar, and in the right-hand side of her hair. Despite all these, the painting presents very well in its current, recently-cleaned state, and there is no need for further intervention. It is in overall good condition.
