Petite Footed Candle Holders for Thin tapered Candle. Stamped silver plate Hallmark Of Torch. Underside of one peice reads ALTA one piece underside reads COHR DENMARK ALTA. Holders 2 in diameter, app .5 in tall. Has a mid century style Dates from 1950-1959. FOUNDER Ditlev Madsen Cohr opened his workshop in Fredericia, Denmark manufacturing hand-forged silver flatware until the company passed on to his son. During 1940-45, Cohr survived by reclaiming old silver and became influenced by the 50’s Silversmith Hans Bunde’s designs.
