Condition: Good; wood grips have regular wear w/ J.D. OGOEN notched into right grip & four tally marks notched into top of left grip; barrel & frame have turned a smooth gray patina w/ hints of brown patina in parts & regular handling marks; the right side of the barrel above the ejector housing has rub wear; cylinder drag marks; bore is smooth & bright w/ strong rifling; mechanically excellent; no patent dates on frame
Includes: framed Colt letter indicating it was sold March 6, 1880 to the United States Government and delivered to the U.S. Government inspector at the Colt plant
