Commode - Louis XVI Style - Walnut wood, sycamore, rosewood, kingwood, boxwood - 1800
Walnut chest of drawers, 3 drawers. With round ormolu brass ring fittings and entrances. The blind wood is greasy pine with thick walnut veneer. The veneer patterns are wonderfully continued on the drawers. Beautiful hand-polished, beautiful patina. All brass locks present. Supported by 4 high tapered legs with brass cups. This piece of furniture is in very good condition and is ready for use. The drawers open smoothly. Made in Italy, circa 1780-1795. Dimensions: H= 85 cm. W= 119 cm. D= 65 cm. Recently thoroughly checked for loose parts of the construction and veneer. Woodworm inspection: No active woodworm found. The photos are part of the description. The last three photos show how it will be packed for foreign transport. Euro pallet with stretch foil and sturdy thick cardboard or plastic runner with at least two lashing straps.
