Crucifix - Louis Philippe - Wood, nails, crown of thorns and silver cartouche - Mid 19th century
Crucifix made of polychrome wood, from the Louis Philippe period (circa 1840/60) , excellent quality, cross made of rosewood, nails, crown of thorns and cartouche all made of silver. The only missing part is a ray (see the picture) and a small missing part of a foot. Private collection from northern Italy. The Christ is 24 x 17 x 5 deep. The base features a small tag, probably was put up for auction several years ago.
