Additional Information: Maria Cristina de Borbón. Hand copy of the Parmigianino painting in the Prado Museum. With its original frame in carved and gilded wood. Label attached to the frame: protection of the Spanish artistic heritage. The Council for the Seizure and Protection of Artistic Heritage was an organization created at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War by decree of the Ministry of Education and Fine Arts of July 23, 1936. The Commission's objective: to preserve on behalf of the State "all works, movable or immovable property, of artistic, historical or bibliographic interest, which, in its opinion, present a danger of ruin, loss or deterioration due to present abnormal circumstances."
