Silk quilt for wedding bed. Only exhibited, never used, It was exhibited in the bedroom of Maria Cristina of Habsburg in the Royal Palace of Madrid. It was a gift from Alfonso XII to his wife, according to legend, the quilt was ordered by Carlota Joaquina de Borbón. It went from hand to hand until it belonged to Alfonso XII, who gave this quilt to his new wife. Despite its constant traveling, it is in perfect condition, never ironed and always stored in an airtight plastic bag.
