42-piece 2nd content silver cutlery consisting of six dinner place settings, five dessert place settings with an extra fork, six dinner knives, six dessert knives, soup serving spoon, gravy spoon, custard spoon, potato spoon, compote spoon and two vegetable spoons. The Schoonhovense Zilverfabriek H. Hooijkaas celebrated its 60th anniversary in 1934. On this occasion, the model 4050 Ideal was introduced: 'a new model silver ware in matte sanded version which, thanks to the clean lines and sober design, adapts completely to the modern taste'. Silver hallmarks: - Content stamp: Lion 2. - Year letters: 1947 (m) and 1948 (n) . - Assay office mark: Minerva head M (Schoonhoven) . - Master stamp of H. Hooijkaas. Weight excluding knives: 1932 grams silver. Weight knives: 936 grams. Condition: Good used condition, the gravy spoon has a small dent in the bowl. The knives have sign of wear and dents, especially on the bottom of the handle, see photos. Can be collected on location, or packaged with care and shipped registered with maximum insurance.
