American School Portrait of Siblings, depicting a young girl in a light blue dress with ringlets in her hair holding a small toy in her right hand, her left arm around the shoulders of her brother who is dressed in a similar cinnabar to red colored dress. the dark background suggests drapery as a backdrop within the painting, 28" x 24". Good condition overall with craquelure throughout which is stable; it appears that it has been cleaned (50 or 60 years ago perhaps); the canvas has not been relined and has not been examined under blacklight, but it appears to not have any significant damage or any tears, depressions or repairs.
