Daimler - 250 V8 "NO RESERVE" - 1968

[ translate ]

Daimler 250 V8 with an exceptionally unique and documented history. It was sold as new in England as a representation car by E. D. Rushton of London. In 1979 Professor Ugo Savona of Palermo purchased the car directly from London and prior to delivery had all the mechanics overhauled for a total of £2,843. The purchase contract and receipt are attached to the car along with all the original mileage records. In 1980 it was registered in Italy and homologated with Palermo plates, which it still has today, as well as the ASI certificate. The bodywork is in outstanding original condition, in the original factory colour "Dark Blue". All bumpers, grille, rostrums and some details have been re-chromed and look great. The paintwork has just received a professional detailing treatment and is bright with minor imperfections resulting from normal use. The original 2500cc V8 engine is the absolute top of the range, superior to the Jaguar MK2, and has recently undergone a major overhaul as the car has not been used for many years: complete check of the fuel lines, overhaul of the fuel supply, overhaul of the braking system, new starter motor and other work required for testing and road driving. The gearbox is also smooth and functional. The genuine leather interior and the real wool carpet are original, as are all the woods. A complete overhaul of the interior has just been carried out; The underbody is solid and original, as this car has spent most of its life in warm Sicily and has been used for events and Sunday drives. The car has just passed the MOT and no defects have been found, so it is ready for driving. It is very difficult to find these cars which were produced in much smaller numbers given the very high and uncommon purchase price with few miles driven, a documented history, all originals with and all factory manuals. They are an excellent investment. Note: broken rear window, new rear window will be supplied on delivery. Some videos of the car, engine and road driving are available. A high-resolution photo gallery is also available and is part of this description, on the seller’s website. Please ask Catawiki. Bidders are also welcome to view and test the vehicle, which is located in Quarrata 51039 (PT) , Italy. Please send a message to Catawiki to arrange an appointment on site; you can also book a video call from your smartphone. An assessment of the conformity and matching of the photos and videos with the vehicle will be carried out prior to delivery. We can arrange transfer of ownership or exports documents remotely. Affordable shipping to Italy, Europe and rest of the world. You can also conveniently pick up the car on site, as it can stay 15 days at our storage facility free of charge. We recommend viewing the vehicle before the end of the auction, even via a video call on your smartphone (Whats. App, Face. Time) . Please send a message to Catawiki for an appointment. The seller reserves the right to claim compensation if the buyer does not pay for the purchase which comes automatically into existence with the winning bid and obliges the buyer to make the payment, as per the sales contract available on the seller’s website.
