ALS signed “Dan'l Webster,” one page both sides, 7.75 x 9.25, April 20, 1843. There were other things, to which he promised attention, but which attention was not. I wrote him, 10 days ago, from Marshfield, to send the stock immediately down; to which he replied, that the snow is deep, that he has rheumatism, &c &c…I learn that he has been under a good deal of religious excitement…I cannot be without some apprehension. Matted and framed with an engraved portrait to an overall size of 19 x 15; the display is backed with glass so that both sides of the letter may be viewed. In very good to fine condition, with light overall creasing.
