DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE. Broadside, In Congress July 4, 1776 The Unanimous Declaration of the Thirteen United States of America. [Glasgow: Robert & Collin Gillespie] c. 1821. Printed in red on woven fabric, 27.5” x 31.75” (visible), laid on later board, minor foxing and toning, two small holes. Ex-Christie's.

An early printing of the Declaration of Independence on a handkerchief. The design is derived chiefly from the 1819 William Woodruff printing of the Declaration, featuring folksy portraits of Washington, Adams, and Jefferson, as well as the state seals of the thirteen original states.
