Magnificent Biedermeier portrait from the 19th century Southern Germany (back stamp "Munich") "Portrait einer jungen Dame" The telling look of the young lady is fantastically hit and shows that the picture was painted by a master of his trade. It is signed on the lower right. Unfortunately, it is not legible to me. The painting was freshly cleaned by a restorer and covered with a new varnish. Wonderful colour nuances and of high academic quality. The condition of the painting is good. It was probably patched up and restored at some point in one place. The frame shows flaking and is a free addition, but not part of the auction. Frame size: 62 x 52 cm Image size: 55. 5 x 44 cm
