Dino Spider 2.0 1967 -NO RESERVE-

NO RESERVE

Chassis no. 0000125
Engine no. 135B
With its Ferrari engine, created for racing, and its Pininfarina lines, penned by Leonardo Fioravanti at the same time as he designed the Ferrari Dino, it is a car of incredible historical importance.
This car with chassis 25, is one of the very first produced considering that Fiat used chassis numbers from 1 to 10 for the pre-production cars and test-drive mules.
Car with an interesting and largely well-known history.
Currently painted in dark petroleum green, but it can be seen from areas where the paint has come away that its original color was "Blu Francia" (French blue).
This car, in need of a full restoration, is complete in every detail and its main structural elements are sound.
Engine undoubtedly correct for the vehicle type and model.
Registered in Italy in 1967 and subsequently purchased by an American officer who had imported it into the USA shortly afterwards. In 2010, it was discovered in Illinois in complete, but abandoned, condition. Purchased by a collector from Tuscany, it was brought back to Italy. The planned restoration of the car never got under way and, kept in a dry and protected shed, it has therefore remained in the same condition in which it was found in 2010.
This may well be the last ever opportunity to purchase a complete Fiat Dino Spider in need of restoration.
The car comes with USA title and EU customs clearance; the import taxes have already been paid and it can be registered in any EU state. Errata corrige: The complete vin Nà is 135AS 0000125
The engine n° is 0000136
The engine is currently working
The original color is most probably red
