A magnificent and very rare antique Chinese porcelain saucer dish (or so called pavilion plate) , with a central decoration of carp fishing boy next to Mei Ren (or Long Elisa) on a formal pavilion with an excellent perspective, executed in a nice underglaze blue and white. In the border a classical decoration of circle patterns. Handcrafted in ancient China during the Qing dynasty, very early Yongzheng period (ca. 1722) . On the backside a decoration of stylized bamboo and the imperial six character seal for emperor Yongzheng (Da Qing Yong. Zheng Nian Zhi) . Guaranteed original and of the stated period. Note: there are a few of these plates known, not one is in such an immaculate condition as this one. The saucer has a perfect shape and colours, not a single trace of damage. A similar one (however not mark and period and not in such a good condition as this one) was in the Christie’s sale from the estate of ALBERT AND LEONIE VAN DAALEN, SWITZERLAND, 5 November 2019 lot 31, with an estimate of 5. 000-7. 000 GBP (6. 000-8. 500 EUR) . See last photo. Diameter: 15,8 centimeter. Condition: The object is in absolute mint condition, without any damages or restorations. Absolute museum quality.
