Naive Portrait of a Young Lady, probably done by an itinerant artist, Massachusetts or Connecticut, oil on canvas, unsigned, circa 1840. She is depicted with her hair pulled back, with rosy cheeks and pink lips, dressed in a pleated white bodice and gown, with a coral brooch, gold and coral rings, housed in a large faux grain painted mitered frame with ochre banding, OS: 37 1/2" x 34 1/2", SS: 28" x 25". Cleaned and relined.
