EARLY THUMBPRINT / ARGUS (OMN) INKWELL, colorless lead glass, pressed base with two rows of thumbprints and rayed underneath, hinged brass mount, cover pressed with two rows of thumbprints and star. Bakewell, Pears & Co. Third quarter 19th century. 3 1/4" HOA, 3 1/2" D base.
Undamaged. Some light roughness to the edges of the cut on the lid, as made.
