as a young boy, oval, in a gilt metal case inscribed "Thomas Mervin Medlycott died at the age of 19 as Lieutenant in the Horse 6th Inniskilling", with a plaited hairwork back with the initials of the sitter and a blue glass border, 6.5cm x 4.5cm overall; and two other portrait miniatures, one of William Coles, Esq. and the other of an unidentified 19th century sitter with a mother of pearl back (3)
