Eugene Galien-Laloue`s paintings of Belle-Epoque Paris were extremely prized in their own day for their detail and realism. As he was in exclusive contract with one gallery in Paris, Galien-Laloue would supplement his income by selling his paintings in other venues, signed with one of 5 pseudonyms: "L. Dupuy," "Juliany," "E. Galiany," "Dumoutier,", and "Lievin.".
