Description: Portrait of the Witch Commissioner in the Duchy of Westphalia Heinrich von Schultheiß in an oval frame with inscription. In his right hand the sitter holds a quill. This gesture refers to the sitter's writings, such as his book "Eine Außführliche Instruction Wie in Inquisition Sachen des grewlichen Lasters der Zauberey gegen Die Zaubere der Göttlichen Majestät und der Christenheit Feinde ohne gefahr der Innschuldigen zu procediren", which was published in Cologne in 1634.
