Early Meisselbach Take-Apart Casting Reel

A 2:1 ratio hard rubber and German silver casting reel with the patented automatic click, screw off ring holding the head plate in place and a Governor counter balanced handle. One of the most difficult Meisselbach reels to find, in Ex condition, free from cracks, scratches or chips, having a foot that is full-length and unaltered, with the only blemish a tiny ding at 12 o'clock on the screw-off head cap ring. Measures 2 1/4" in diameter with a 1 1/4" wide spool, a bit narrower than the 4:1 reel (offered in this sale as well). It would be difficult at best to ever upgrade this example.
