Signed to lower right 'Clark'. Signed and dated to verso 'Clark 54'. This work has been in a Chicago collection for thirty-five years. The present owner of this work contacted Ed Clark in 1996 and Clark confirmed its authenticity.

Condition Report: Painting has undergone several restorations over time. Early restoration of four older punctures visible from the reverse, and from front under closer inspection. Crazing to pigments has also been professionally stabilized as needed, with smaller areas of inpainting mainly visible when examined under UV light. Stretcher bars have been updated. Previously lower and upper edges were turned over the former stretcher, causing the painting to be slightly smaller in height with faint bands of discoloration to these areas. Currently painting is stretched correctly. Conservator's report and images are available upon request. Framed without glazing measuring 78 h x 30 w x 2 d inches.
