Large Egyptian bronze figure of Bes shown as a bandy legged, deformed and nude dwarf with an ugly human face, wide eyes, and an animal tail. The left arm raised to waist level, the right arm missing. The pinned top of the crown missing. The Egyptian god Bes was worshipped as the protector of the household, and particularly of mothers, children and childbirth.
