Autumnal Art nouveau Vase "Hellebore" by "Emile Gallé" (Nancy) The vase is signed with "Gallé" and comes from the late 19th/ early 20th century. It´s made from multilayered glass (cameo) in pink, colourless, light green and brownish green. The decor is acid-etched, bottom and top are refined and polished cleanly. This wonderful Art nouveau piece is a nice example of French glass art from the Lorraine region. It´s decorated with a hellebore plant with its leaves, blooming flowers and ripe fruits. The details are finely etched into the glass and the colours accentuate the vegetal motif. The vase has a rod-shaped form with a profound base and a long and narrow top. On the photos, the acid-etched signature can be seen in detail. This beautiful piece is in an excellent condition without any cracks, chips or defects. Only at the bottom, there are some minor scratches (which is totally normal from standing) .
