Bronze, gilded, polished and chiselled. Model design around 1807 - Jean André Reiche (1752-1817), important Parisian bronze caster. Longitudinal rectangular pedestal on six bunion feet. Attached scientific instruments on the front, each carried by a winged putto and flanked on the side by a globe and a telescope. The rectangular watch case as a table on claw feet. Two ladies looking at a star map lying on it, with an astrolabe next to them. The Empire armchairs are richly decorated with appliqué vines and mascarons. White enamel dial with roman hours and minuterie. Pendulum with key lift and half-hour bell.
