English 19th Century Chinoiserie-Decorated Sewing Stand. Black lacquered surface, lid having a painted castle, lake and landscape scene. With allover gilt scenes of exotic birds, fountains and foliate motifs. Case rests on an octagonal tapered standard with scrolled feet. The interior of the case features a removable upper tray, and lidded compartments. 31-1/2"h. x 19-1/2"w, x 14"d. Condition: Very good with minor wear and loss.
