Charles I (1625-1649), Briot’s First Milled issue, Shilling, no mm., signed b both sides, bust breaks inner circle, rev. legend commences at 6 o’clock, 5.82g/6h (Sharp type 1; SCBI Brooker 715a, same dies; N 2300; S 2854). Flan defect at 12 o’clock and other slight imperfections, otherwise very fine, lightly toned, extremely rare £600-£800
