A mid 19th Century antique English porcelain railroad china serving plate. Produced by Enoch Wood and Sons (Burslem) for their Celtic China series in the Venetian Scenery pattern. Blue transferware platter having fancy scalloped edge and Italian landscape scene with church and other architectural elements, including a bridge, trees, flora and other forms. EG&S CELTIC CHINA VENETIAN SCENERY backstamp to underside of rim. In vintage gift box erroneously labeled PRODUCT OF SCOTLAND.
