Eugene Deully (1860-1933) was an American painter known for his Impressionist and Tonalist style. He was born in Buffalo, New York and studied art at the Art Students League in New York City under William Merritt Chase and later with the French painter Jules Lefebvre in Paris. Deully's paintings often depicted scenes of nature, landscapes, and cityscapes. He was a member of the Society of American Artists and the National Academy of Design. Deully's work was highly regarded for its atmospheric effects and use of color. He died in New York City in 1933, leaving behind a legacy as one of America's foremost Impressionist and Tonalist painters.
