Eukratides Tetradrachm in 22K Gold Pendant + Wood Box

Kings of Bactria. Eukratides I. Circa 170-145 BC. AR Tetradrachm (approx 17.0 gm; 34 mm). Attic standard. Helmeted, draped and diademed bust right / BASI?EOS MEGALOU EUKRATIDOU, the Dioskouroi on rearing horses right; monogram below. Set into lovely 22 kt gold bezel - testing at 89% pure gold. Comes in pretty wooden presentation box set with another ancient coin - this time Calabrian, Taras riding a dolphin. Can't determine condition or authenticity, but from all appearances, this coin is also ancient. The coin alone can be found upwards of $3500 on Vcoins. Size: 1.375" W x 1.75" H (3.5 cm x 4.4 cm)
